Asad took early retirement in March 2016 from the Homes and Communities Agency (Southwest Region) where he was an Investment Manager for a number of years.
He brings over 40 years of senior managemant experience in the social housing sector with Local Authorities, the Homes and Communities Agency and Housing Associations.
Asad currently sits on the Board of Cornerstone Housing in Exeter (since September 2022). In addition, he was the Vice Chair of the Board/Senior Independent Director of
North Devon Homes, as well as sitting on the Board of their commercial subsidiary – Anchorwood Limited, for 3 terms.
During his career, Asad has held every local authority investment portfolio on behalf of the Homes and Communities Agency in the Southwest, having also gained a diverse range of housing experience.
He has lived in Devon for over 35 years, being married for 45 years and has a daughter, son and 2 young granddaughters.
