To be able to provide services that meet our residents' needs, Willow Tree Housing Partnership is improving how we gather and take our residents' views into account. Central to this will be the Residents' Scrutiny Panel (previously called the Residents' Panel).
On 5 September 2023 the inaugural Residents' Scrutiny Panel met, a passionate and enthusiastic group of 8 tenants with extensive skills and experience from across our geographic area in the south-west have volunteered to be part of the panel. The areas the panel may get involved in include:
o Ensuring landlord accountability so the tenant voice is heard and acted upon
o Performance scrutiny and complaints handling review
o Provision of feedback on policy or proposed changes
WTHP joined TPAS in June 2023 (Tenant Participation Advisory Service) to provide support and guidance on scrutiny and provide independent support and guidance to residents to help shape landlord services and communities.
The organisation will support tenants and build capacity to enable them to feel confident and effective in their role.
